Dyslexia Assessments for children and young people aged 8 - 15 years

Delia and Seth Gascoigne are two fully qualified, experienced Specialist Assessors offering holistic, face-to-face Full Diagnostic Assessments

How we work:

  • We believe the assessment process should be engaging and child centred so that students feel comfortable and relaxed in a friendly home from home environment.

  • We ensure parents/carers are provided with a full, detailed explaination of the assessment outcome. As there are two assessors, we are able to score the tests and offer this face-to-face consultation and diagnosis immediately following testing.

  • We also explain to every student their strengths and 'not so strengths', whether they are dyslexic, and what it means to be dyslexic in an age-appropriate, uplifting and empowering way.

  • We believe it is important for there to be liaison between the Assessor and the school's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and a call is organised to discuss findings and next steps, where appropriate.

  • Our reports are a 'working document', heavy rich in practical recommendations for home, in school and for any outside of school support.

  • We can refer you on to qualified Specialist Teachers, who offer intervention lessons across multiple subjects.

  • We can provide ongoing advice and support where necessary, by phone or email, post assessment.

Access Arrangements

Delia and Seth work both in schools and privately to assess students for additional time for their GCSE and A Level exams. Access Arrangements are offered to those students in Year 9 to 13.  We have working relationships with many of the secondary schools and colleges in North London.

Testimonials

Ilan

We learned more about our kid here than in hours and days of conversations with teachers. (I only wish I had done this when I was a kid...) We did the dyslexia assessment for our 10-year old boy , and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The team was warm, professional, and incredibly patient — they made our son feel completely at ease throughout what could have been a stressful (and kind of long) process. Above all, they took the time to explain everything clearly in the end, both to the parents and our kid. We left feeling informed, supported, and very grateful.

We had an excellent experience with Delia and Seth. Their assessment and report were thorough, professional, and gave us clear insights into our daughter’s dyslexia. They went above and beyond by advising us and contacting her school with practical steps to support her learning.

Their support has been truly wonderful, and we highly recommend their services to anyone seeking help with dyslexia assessments and advice.
