Types of Assessments

Full Diagnostic Assessments
  • Recommended for children from ages 8 to 15.
     

  • Carried out by two qualified and experienced Specialist Assessors, Consultants and Specialist Teachers.
     

  • Identifies dyslexia and other Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLD).
     

  • Highlights the student’s learning strengths and weaknesses.
     

  • A detailed analysis of findings is given in a post discussion assessment immediately after testing.
     

  • A password protected, detailed report provides recommendations for schools, specialists and parents.
     

  • We are happy to talk with class teachers, SENCos and specialists in order to ensure that accommodations and modifications suggested in the report are effectively implemented and followed through.
     

  • We work with a number of schools to provide in-school Full Diagnostic Assessments that identify dyslexia and help form classroom interventions.

Access Arrangements  for 11+, GCSE and A Level Exams

  • In-school Access Arrangements (AA), can be offered to School SENCos in order to help them with their cohort of students who may need additional time or other accommodations for examinations.
     

  • Private Access Arrangements (AA), can be offered at our premises in Finchley to  students who may need additional time or other accommodations for examinations, and where Delia and Seth have a previous working relationship with the student's school.
     

  • Liaison between the school’s SENCo and the assessor is mandatory prior to testing, as we will need the school to send over a completed part 1 of a 'form 8'.
     

  • We have a working relationship with a number of secondary schools including but not exclusive to:

    • Fine Arts (Hampstead) 

    • Hasmonean High Schools (Barnet)

    • Dancer’s Academy

    • Dame Alice Owen

    • Fortismere School (Muswell Hill)

    • Ark Pioneer Academy​

DSA Assessments

  • We can refer you on to an Independent Chartered Educational Psychologist, who will be able to assess for Disability Student Allowance applicability.
     

  • The DSA is an allowance given to institutions to aid students who have recognised disabilities sufficient for them to need extra tuition or equipment, in order to help level the playing field with students who are able to learn without additional impediments.  
     

  • It includes those with students formally diagnosed as having Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLD).

Assessments for Adults 18+

  • We can refer you on to an Independent Chartered Educational Psychologist, who will be able to assess you for dyslexia and/or dyscalculia. Please get in contact with us, with details as to your concerns and your educational history.
